Haartz Corporation has been named a 2025 Mass Save Climate Leader, recognizing the company’s continued leadership in energy efficiency and sustainability. The Mass Save Climate Leader program honors organizations that take meaningful action to reduce energy consumption, lower carbon emissions and invest in a cleaner energy future for Massachusetts.
“Being named a Mass Save Climate Leader is an important milestone for Haartz,” said Jeff Poretto, engineering manager at Haartz. “Sustainability is one of our core values, and we remain dedicated to embedding it across all our operations from facilities and manufacturing processes to materials and product lifecycles. This recognition reinforces our commitment to driving positive environmental impact across every aspect of our business.”
Haartz is continually exploring new ways to reduce its environmental impact and has partnered with National Grid and Eversource on its decarbonization journey. Over the past five years, the company has reduced its overall carbon emissions by 22%, all while maintaining production levels. Nearly 25% of Haartz’s energy now comes from renewable sources such as solar and wind. Recent facility upgrades, including the installation of a 70-ton Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system and a 128-ton water source heat pump, have further improved operational efficiency and reduced reliance on fossil fuels. These efforts reflect the company’s ongoing commitment to energy innovation and environmental stewardship.
Through participation in Mass Save initiatives, Haartz has implemented a range of energy-saving measures, optimized operational efficiency and invested in renewable technologies that support a long-term vision of a lower-carbon future. The company continues to identify new opportunities to further green its operations and set an example of responsible manufacturing within its industry.
