Crush Grain

Crush grain

Use of this grain seems to have been more prevalent for vinyl and Hypalon® top materials from the mid-1950s onward. It was used for Jeep® vinyl topping from about 1960 through the 1970s and remains in use for other recent production Sport Utility Vehicles. Chrysler used the grain for at least some convertible tops on their Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth convertibles from 1968 through 1971 model years. A slight variant was used for the Hypalon® top materials used on Packard convertible and roofcover materials of the mid-1950s.
