World’s Quietest Convertible Features Soft Top Material from The Haartz Corporation

Acton, Mass. (November 22, 2015) The 2016 Rolls-Royce Dawn has been dubbed by engineers as the world’s quietest convertible – features convertible soft-top material from The Haartz Corporation – the leading supplier of convertible soft-top material across the globe. The latest offering from Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Dawn made its debut globally during the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany in September and will make its North American West Coast Media debut at an event during the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, November 17.

The Dawn features Haartz’ Twillfast CR, which offers ease of use and superior aesthetics. The triple layer material features an acrylic twill weave facing, crease-resistant butyl rubber inner-layer and polyester dobby backing.

“The Twillfast CR is the ideal material for a vehicle of this magnitude – since the Dawn features the second largest fabric roof applied to a production luxury cabrio – second only to the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé,” said Matt Williams, director of business development for the Haartz Corporation. “We worked in conjunction with engineers and designers to ensure the best material was chosen for the Dawn, helping to enhance the open-air driving experience – top up or down.”

The roof is available in several solid colors – black, blue, brown, silver, dark green, red, beige and one contrasting Sonnenland® A5B/HT High-Tech design – offering additional customization options for owners.“Our line-up of material is well-suited for premium vehicle applications as they are acoustically enhanced and do not crease when stowed for extended periods of time, maintaining their original texture. We also offer an extended line of colors, which truly aids owner’s ability to personalize their vehicle” said Williams.
