Haartz has an exciting opportunity to join our HR team as a Human Resources Senior Specialist. This position’s primary responsibilities include administering the company’s benefits programs and managing leaves in accordance with state and federal laws. Key responsibilities include leave management, benefits administration including vendor/broker relationships, regulatory and plan compliance, reporting, billing audits. Working within an HR team, this position will also have the opportunity to develop and drive a robust onboarding program. Successful candidates will be analytical and detail oriented with excellent communication, organizational and time management skills, a strong work ethic and like working in a fast-paced team environment.

Skills Required:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience working in a human resource environment administering benefits and leaves.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with employee benefits and applicable laws including FMLA, PFML, STD, LTD, ADA, COBRA
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Highly proficient in Excel, PPT and other MS Office applications.
• A high aptitude for systems, confidentiality, creative problem solving, understanding detail and data integrity are essential for success in this role.
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in the HR or related field strongly preferred.
• SPHR and/or SHRM SCP designations preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus!
